Dr. Clarke joined the company in 2004 and oversees the research efforts dedicated to understanding the impact of Pulmatrix technologies in respiratory disease. As one of the company’s initial scientists, Dr. Clarke was involved in the early stage growth of research and development programs that identified some of the key aspects of the Pulmatrix technology. Previous to Pulmatrix, he was an Associate Director of Life Sciences at Alkermes, Inc. Dr. Clarke holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, has his Ph.D. in Physiology from Johns Hopkins University, and completed his post-doctoral training in Respiratory Biology at Harvard University. Dr. Clarke has co-authored over 80 chapters, papers, and abstracts focused on pulmonary drug delivery and the role of particles and infection in the lung.
