Robert Connelly  Chief Executive Officer

Robert Connelly has 25 years of experience in the life sciences sector including the last 14 years in serial entrepreneurial pursuits. Prior to joining Pulmatrix in January of 2008, Connelly was the CEO of Domantis, Ltd. before selling the company to Glaxo SmithKline for $454 million in cash, the largest valuation paid for a preclinical biotechnology company. Connelly joined Domantis in 2001 as the founding CEO and first employee. Domantis is a drug discovery company developing a pipeline of novel therapies based on the next generation of antibody molecules, fully human domain antibodies (dAbs). Connelly built Domantis into a 75 person organization with 15 therapeutic programs, seven partnerships, and over $80 million in private equity raised. Prior to Domantis Mr. Connelly spent six years with Bioveris, Inc. (formerly IGEN and since acquired by Roche) in the roles of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and General Manager of IGEN's Life Sciences unit. In this capacity, Connelly took a central role in IGEN's financing activities and IPO, raising more than $150 million dollars during his tenure. Mr. Connelly spent the first 11 years of his career with Abbott Laboratories in sales, marketing, and management positions.
